  1. In Minecraft, Entity 404 is a mysterious, white-skinned entity with red eyes that appears in your game and causes it to glitch. It is said to spawn in dangerous mobs, like husks and skeletons, crash your game, and corrupt your world by creating error blocks and getting rid of block textures.
  2. In the Minecraft fan series, “Dave the Villager 22,” Entity 404 was a former villager named Professor Hector. After inventing a new in-game dimension called the Aether, Professor Hector realized he could use the life force of his fellow villagers to become a god. Once he realized this, he gathered villagers in the Aether, stole their life force, and gained godlike powers.
    • In this story, as Professor Hector became Entity 404, he took on a group of fellow professors and players. Although he was hard to defeat, one of his fellow professors deleted the Aether code and destroyed Entity 404.

  3. One Creepypasta in “The Eternal Repository” claims Entity 404 is a neutron star that is both a celestial body and an ancient being with a woman’s voice. In this iteration of the story, Entity 404 is linked to Null, has a powerful magnetic field that changes its being from a magnetar to a neutron star depending on the strength output, and produces massive amounts of energy that can restrain Null.
    • In this iteration, Null is known as Null-06, a black hole that is eternally linked to Entity 404.
    • Entity 404’s voice only emerges when someone is close to it. Although it shows no signs of life or consciousness, it’s still suspected to be alive and autonomous.
  4. In YouTuber Faberistry’s video, “The Story of ENTITY 404,” Entity 404 is described as an ancient Minecraft god that created the in-game universe. He was said to summon the oceans, carve out the plains, summon a beacon of light in the sky that we’d go on to know as the sun, and build extensive cave labyrinths–the same ones we play in today.
