Should you share your feelings with a Pisces Man?

  1. Pisces is a water sign, which means your guy is sensitive and has a lot of emotional depth. In fact, astrologer Kalem Turner says that Pisces is the most emotional sign in the zodiac![1] Because of these qualities, a Pisces man will appreciate your vulnerability and honesty, and you can be sure that he’ll handle you gently.
    • Are Pisces guys shy around their crush? Yes, most Pisces are sensitive and shy—they also tend to get pretty nervous around their crushes.
    • How to move things forward: Astrologers Tali & Ophira Edut suggest simply spending quality time with him.[2] That said, Pisces aren’t the best at planning, so don’t be afraid to set up dates and suggest activities.[3]
    • What to watch out for: According to astrologer Julia Topaz, “Many Pisces men love the idea of love, but struggle to turn it into a long-term reality. They can be elusive and prefer escaping into their own world rather than committing.” She advises that you look for concrete actions from him that indicate he truly feels the same, since a Pisces might get swept up in the idea of romance.[4]

How to Share Your Feelings With a Pisces Man

PDF download Download Article
  1. Pisces men appreciate openness and honesty, so be authentic when sharing your feelings with him. As a water sign ruled by Neptune, this sign is emotional and empathetic, which means it won’t make him uncomfortable if you share your emotions. Instead of being coy or playing it cool, let your true feelings fly. Whether or not he reciprocates, he’ll appreciate that you were upfront with him.
    • “I can tell you’re a sensitive person, so I feel safe confessing this.”
    • “You’re such a caring and honest person; I want to return that energy by sharing this.”
    • “This is really big for me. I don’t usually get crushes like this, but I’m so into you.”
  2. 2
“You don’t have to respond if you’re not ready yet.” Pisces are very emotional and can easily feel overwhelmed. Reassuring him that he can have all the space he needs and that he doesn’t have to respond to your confession immediately can go a long way towards making him feel comfortable and safe. He’ll appreciate that softness from you. Generally, if a Pisces feels pressed, it can spook him. Astrologer Paige Ferris says that Pisces can be a bit avoidant, so if they feel uncomfortable, they’ll just avoid things.[5]
    • “I know this is a lot to take in! Please don’t feel like you have to respond right away.”
    • “I just want to say that no matter what, I’ll accept how you feel. I may need time, but I won’t be mad if you don’t feel the same way I do.”
    • “Take all the time you need to process what I’ve told you. Get back to me when you feel ready.”
  3. Pisces men don’t like feeling limited or controlled in love. So, make it clear that you don’t plan to do either of those things—instead, you just want to appreciate him for who he is. Explain that you’ll accept his feelings, and if he is interested in you, you’re committed to accepting him for him.
    • "I'm not into the person you could be. I like you for exactly who you are right now."
    • “I think you’re an amazing person and an amazing friend. I appreciate you.”
    • “To me, you're perfect. I wouldn’t dream of trying to change you.”
  4. Astrologer Angel Eyedealism suggests being gentle with Pisces, because these men are extremely sensitive.[6] Tell him how you feel and speak softly. Don’t overdo it or put pressure on him. Remind him that your feelings are your own (and he’s not responsible for them!), and at all costs, avoid hurting his feelings.
    • “I want to be upfront about how I’m feeling, but please don’t feel pressured.”
    • “I just want to put my feelings out there, but I don’t want it to be weird between us. I’m perfectly happy to be just friends if that’s what you’d prefer.”
    • “I like you so much, but I don’t have any expectations other than friendship.”
  5. In love, Pisces is looking for someone to help him process his ever-changing, intense emotions. When you tell him how you feel, explain that you’d like to be his rock and confidant. Tell him that because you care about him, you’d like to care for him—and that means supporting him emotionally.
    • “I really want to make you feel cared for.”
    • “I just want to make you happy."
    • "I know you go through a lot. I want to help you process all of your big emotions."
  6. As a rule, Pisces don’t spend a lot of time with people they don’t care about. So, if you’ve been hanging out lately, he enjoys your company! It’s possible that he’s totally crushing on you, too, and he’s just been waiting for a signal. Encourage him to share his feelings, but only if he’s ready. If he says he’s into you, too, then that's amazing news! Your bravery paid off. If he doesn't feel the same, don't stress.
    • If he's interested, ask him out! "Wow, amazing. I'd love to keep getting to know you. Would you want to come to this art gallery opening with me?"
    • If he's not, say something like, "Okay, thanks for your honesty, I really appreciate that. I want to protect our friendship, but I also need a little time to process.”
  7. Depending on how your conversation goes, you may want to stay friends, become partners, or even take some time away. It’s possible that with this free-spirited water sign, you’ll need to protect your own needs, because Pisces men often jump headlong into romantic relationships. Ferris says this sign tends to push boundaries and has trouble setting limits, so keep that in mind.[7]
    • “Hey, I’m glad I shared my feelings with you, but I feel like things are moving too fast. Can we take a step back?”
    • “I’m really into you, but I’m not ready to jump into a relationship immediately. Let’s take things slow.”
    • The Eduts agree that Pisces men don’t always understand separation and space very well.[8] If you need more time or space, just ask for it!

When sharing feelings with a Pisces man, be open and gentle. Pisces are deeply empathetic, so honest, heartfelt emotion will resonate most. Express yourself sincerely—he'll feel the authenticity. Remember, Pisces cherish emotional bonds. Creating a safe space for vulnerability can bring you closer. Approach sensitively and emphasize your connection.

Signs a Pisces Man Has Feelings For You

PDF download Download Article
  1. As a mutable sign, Pisces men can be a bit reserved—especially around their crush. If a Pisces guy has his eye on you, he may totally clam up in your presence. Look out for signs that he’s nervous around you. If he goes quiet the second you walk into the room, know that that could be a sign he’s into you.
    • He may also fidget while you two are in conversation.
    • If he's got a crush, he may ask everyone in the room a question besides you.
    • Even though you’ve seen him be super friendly and outgoing to others in the past, you may notice that with you, the Pisces man seems shy and closed off.
  2. When a Pisces gets more comfortable with you (like when you’ve become friends or started flirting), he’s likely to warm up, and warm up quickly. He may suddenly save all of his sweetest compliments and hugs for you. Look for signs that he treats you with a little more warmth than he does the average person. This could definitely mean that he likes you!
    • He might hold intense, long eye contact with you in conversation.
    • A Pisces man might find every reason to compliment you, especially in front of other people.
    • He may offer you sweet forms of physical affection, like hugs, an arm around the shoulder, or a pat on the knee.
  3. To Pisces men, fantasy and intense emotion are some of the most exciting parts of life. So if he’s into you, he’ll want to share those experiences with you. If you notice him talking your ear off about his love of songwriting or his plan to become an architect, take note. This could absolutely be a sign that this Pisces man is falling for you.
    • He might want to keep you updated on every detail of his favorite creative project.
    • A Pisces man may enthusiastically describe his dreams to you (or even show you his dream journal!).
    • He may pepper you with questions about your dreams and passions as well. So if you want to impress him, have your answers ready to go!
  4. According to Eyedealism, a Pisces man will care deeply about supporting the people around him however he can, and with his crush, this will be extra important.[9] If it seems like he’s always the one coming to your rescue, take note. Whether he’s your empathetic ear, your shoulder to cry on, or your knight in shining armor, if a Pisces man puts you first, that's a sign that he likes you.
    • A Pisces man may want to help you talk through things you’ve been through. He may ask tons of questions and offer his compassion when you mention past struggles.
    • Psychic astrologer Stina Garbis says, “He will try to be your friend and do things in hopes that you open up to him. He will ask all the time, ‘Are you okay?’”[10]
  5. Eyedealism says that Pisces men want to make other people feel heard and understood.[11] If he’s into you, this instinct in him will be even stronger. If you feel like he locks you into intense, personal conversation at every party, take note. Look out for signs that he’s trying really hard to get to know you, and pro tip: to impress him, let him! Pisces men love an open book.
    • He may ask you about your childhood, your future plans, or your deepest fears.
    • When you mention a casual personal detail, a Pisces man may immediately ask you for more information.

Had my first date with a Pisces guy a few days ago and I think we really hit it off but I've never dated a Pisces before and would love any tips/advice/insight about what it's like. Can you tell me what to expect or watch out for?

In general, Pisces men tend to be very soft, and they're very dreamy and romantic. One thing you should be careful about, though: just because they're romantic and soft, it doesn't mean that they actually want to enter a committed, long-term relationship. A lot of times, as much as a Pisces man loves the idea of love, they can spend time escaping, feeling like "I'm good on my own, I don't need to make a relationship into a material reality". So, my advice would be that Pisces men can be really soft and charming and sweet, but you should wait to jump in headfirst until you see concrete signs of commitment from them.

I was married to Pisces for over 10 years until his passing (I'm a Capricorn). He was a big, buff biker, but all teddy bear once he let the tough exterior drop. Yes, very romantic! He would rather walk through a side lot of field and pick flowers for me than buy them! He enjoyed when I would praise him for his nature, or tell him exactly what I loved about him. But be sincere! Flattering him without honesty will pay him away; he will distrust you more. Do begin early by telling him one or two private things nobody else knows about you. If it's serious, he will feel like you're confidante and will open up quicker. But always maintain respect and loyalty, with honesty- sometimes the hard truth he'll appreciate more than if you sugarcoat it, as long as you use the correct soft tone of voice, and assure him that the truth is to help him, not harm him. My guy LOVED any little thing that showed I was thinking about him- a heart drawn on his napkin in his lunch bag, a few candies on his pillow if I went to bed early, smiley faces drawn on pancakes with chocolate chips, too! Home cooking and a real sense of maintaining our home really got kudos from him!
If you are intimate, be prepared to have your head completely blown off! But don't expect him to jump right in the sack with you. My guy had to be 100% that I was completely into him and totally loyal. Oh, yeah! This guy! He was my soulmate, my perfect match. We laughed all the time, danced to our music ('80's) in the grocery store aisles, sang at the top of our lungs when driving around. Our connection and commitment was palpable, and we were always being complimented on being such a far out couple!
My Pisces man was everything I dreamed of since I was a little girl- my Knight in shining armour who protected me and kept me safe, who played on his knees before bedtime, and rode a Harley and was completely covered in tattoos!!!
He WAS real. And although I was only gifted him from God for ten years, we lived reach day to the absolute maximum, always with each other, holding hands or my arm in his. He lived to kiss me, and just all his devotion made me want to do anything in the world just to see his smile and hear his laughter.
I can't think of a negative, except maybe don't be a nagger or try to win an argument based on emotional manipulation. My husband would walk out of the house. I knew he would come back, and would be loyal, but I would never know for how long he would be gone. And with him being in an MC, I always got a bit concerned. But Pisces are very trustworthy and honourable. He never needed a reason to keep a secret, and I knew everything about him. But he did have just one, and kept it for almost 3 1/2 years until after our 2nd anniversary ----- he had won a personal non-taxable, non-wage settlement with 9 zeros behind it and didn't know what to do with it!
We'd been living within our means, and he trusted me to find a good investment broker. We had an additional monthly draw from a percentage of the interest earned, and that was it. It allowed us to buy a more reliable vehicle, and go to the movies on the weekend. But grandkids started popping out, and Christmases were really a lot of fun!
You will never go wrong with a Pisces man, as long as you maintain your integrity and are always honest with him, show him how much you appreciate him, and remember how much he like to feel your hand touching him or lips kissing him. I miss my husband so terribly. I truly lost a huge piece of my heart and soul.
