I always recommend doing what feels right for you, because there are so many different ways to do it. I personally like an overhand shuffle, but anything works. One fun thing you can try is to have someone pick a number between one and nine, then shuffle the deck that many times for them. If you're reading for yourself, it is best to shuffle for yourself, and to listen to your intuition of when is the right time to stop. That really puts you in touch with the phenomenon of synchronicity.
