Go to Snowcap Island. This is the location for Red Drum. To find this island, head southeast from Moosewood. This will have frozen peaks and big glaciers around the island. You can find two docks northwest of the island.
- Make sure the season is Spring or Autumn; you won't be able to catch Red Drum in any other season. Red Drum can be caught during the day or at night and in any weather.
- You can use any of the docks or spots on the island to fish for Red Drum.

Cast your rod. Since Red Drum is a common fish with a low weight, it will move slowly across the fishing bar. Keep an eye on the fishing bar and make sure the fish doesn't move outside of it.
- The Red Drum's preferred bait is Insect. If you have some to spare, you may be able to catch a Red Drum more quickly by equipping it.

Reel in the Red Drum. When the fish is hooked, you'll see a red exclamation point (!) above your character's head and you'll hear a bell sound, just like all other common fish.
- If you reel in a fish that isn't a Red Drum, you can cast your rod back in to try again.
