Got a Megalodon event in Fisch? There are three Megalodon variants you can catch in Fisch: normal Megalodon, Ancient Megalodon, and Phantom Megalodon. Luckily, catching a regular Megalodon just requires you to fish in the right location with a good rod. This wikiHow will show you where and how to catch a Megalodon in Fisch.
Catching the Megalodon in Fisch
To catch the normal Megalodon in Fisch, head to Ancient Isles and wait for the Megalodon event. Be sure to use a rod that can handle 50,000 Kg or more in weight. Once hooked, you'll have a -80% progress speed decrease when reeling it in.
Steps
How to Catch Megalodon in Fisch
-
Equip the right fishing rod. Since the Megalodon is 50,000 KG at its lowest weight, you must equip a fishing rod that is higher or equal. If you struggle with the fishing minigame, you may also want to use a rod that has higher luck and resilience. You can use the following rods:
- Avalanche Rod
- Celestial Rod
- Heaven's Rod
- Ice Warpers Rod
- Kings Rod
- Krampus's Rod
- No-Life Rod
- Reinforced Rod
- Rod of the Eternal King
- Rod of the Forgotten Fang
- Steady Rod
- Summit Rod
- The Lost Rod
- Voyager Rod
-
Go to Ancient Isles. This is the spawn location for the Megalodon and its variants.
- Unlike the Phantom Megalodon variant, you can catch a regular Megalodon at any time, weather, and season. To catch a Phantom Megalodon, it must be during a real-life weekend and there must be a naturally occurring eclipse.
- If you want to catch all variants at the same time, wait for a real-life weekend and use Sundial totems to skip day cycles until you get an eclipse. You can also use an Eclipse totem, but these are more expensive than Sundial totems.
-
Wait for the Megalodon event. You should see "A Megalodon has been spotted past Ancient Isle".
- If it's a Phantom Megalodon, it will look shiny.
-
Catch the Megalodon. A blue exclamation point will appear and a bell will sound as you hook the fish. When reeling in the fish, you'll be inflicted with a -80% progress speed decrease, so be sure to stay patient and focused on the mini-game. If it's a Phantom Megalodon, it will be a -85% progress speed decrease.
- Once the mini-game is completed, a cutscene will play, and you'll have successfully reeled in the Megalodon.
- There is a 5% chance of receiving a Megalodon Egg as a drop.
