  • Question
After obtaining Solgaleo, will I receive Lunala or another Solgaleo?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
You need to return to the Altar of the Sunne/Moone in Poni Canyon at the correct in-game time (day for Pokémon Sun, night for Pokémon Moon). Your Solgaleo will open a rift to an alternate dimension. Travel to the Lake of the Sunne/Moone on Ula'ula Island. There, your Solgaleo will interact with a newly appearing Lunala, and you will receive a Level 5 Cosmog.
  • Question

    Community Answer
If the rift is present, you should go through it. If it is not, check your 3DS system settings, as your console's internal clock might be set incorrectly.

Even though it might be night in real life, it might not be night in the Nintendo 3DS. You can try tweaking the time in the system.
  • Question
My Cosmog in Pokémon Sun evolved into Solgaleo again. Can I obtain Lunala through this method?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
No. In Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun, Cosmoem will always evolve into another Solgaleo. To get both Solgaleo and Lunala, you must trade for the legendary Pokémon from the opposite game version.
  • Question
I've followed all the steps to get Cosmog, but the expected cutscene isn't triggering. What could be wrong?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
You need to have Solgaleo, Lunala, or their Necrozma fusions (Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings) in your party for the cutscene to trigger at the Altar. Without one of these, you won't be able to approach the center. Also, confirm you haven't already collected Cosmog, as you can only obtain it once per game.
  • Question
I'm at the Lake of the Moone in Pokémon Moon, and it says I sense a presence, but I don't see Cosmog. What should I do to get Cosmog?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
To obtain Cosmog, you must have either Solgaleo or Lunala, or Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma, in your party. Without one of these Pokémon, the event will not trigger.
  • Question
Can you make the game think it's night time in real life, or do you have to wait?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
You would have to change your system clock as the game determines the time of day/night based in that. Be careful though, as changing your clock will temporarily suspend time based in-game events such as the stocks in the Festival Plaza shops (this also affects any games downloaded to your system simultaneously, and you will need to open each of them individually in order to reset the suspension).
  • Question
How do you get to the reverse world?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
Firstly, you have to be playing Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. Second you need to have Solgaleo, Lunala, or Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma in your party. After that, just go up to the rift where you would normally initiate an Ultra Warp Ride, and select "Go to the reverse world". Something to point out is that you can only visit the reverse world at night in Ultra Sun, and only during the day in Ultra Moon.
  • Question
How can you catch Cosmog in Pokemon Ultra Sun?
    Verin
    Verin
    Top Answerer
You have to go to Lake of the Moone in the reverse world, with Solgaleo in your party (must be Solgaleo, Lunala and/or Necrozma will do nothing). For Ultra Moon, it would be the Lake of the Sunne in the reverse world with Lunala in your party.
