Jujutsu Kaisen centers around a group of sorcerers—namely, Yuji Itadori and his friends. After Yuji consumes a cursed finger that contains the soul of ancient sorcerer Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji becomes Sukuna’s vessel. He then begins training as a Jujutsu sorcerer to prevent Sukuna from destroying humanity.

JJK has some of the most powerful and evil villains of all time. Ryomen Sukuna is the most powerful sorcerer to ever wield Jujutsu. After his death, his soul was sealed into 20 cursed fingers. In the present day, he’s seeking to emerge and rule once more, helped by sorcerers like Kenjaku and curses like Mahito.^{[2]

Powerful sorcerers In addition to the ones we’ve already mentioned, these sorcerers are powerful players in JJK. They use Jujutsu to help protect humans and Jujutsu practitioners from evil sorcerers who want to take over.

Mahito’s Group Mahito is the leader of the Disaster Curses, a group of unregistered special grade curse spirits. Mahito himself was born from humans’ hate and fear, and each of the remaining curses were born from the fear of a natural disaster. They are:^{[17]

Zen’in Clan The Zen’in clan is a famous family of sorcerers. They’re known for their powerful use of cursed energy and their ruthless pursuit of power. Under the rule of Naobito Zen’in, anyone born into the family without powers was rejected—a stance which heavily influences the events of JJK. Cursed Womb: Death Paintings Death Painting Wombs are cursed objects. They’re born from a human mother, but they also contain the blood of a cursed spirit. There are three special-grade Death Painting Wombs.^{[18]
