  1. When a user throws an Ender Pearl, they will be teleported wherever the pearl lands. The user will take two and a half hearts of fall damage when they land, unless they're wearing armor enchanted with Protection and/or Feather Falling.[2]
    • The pearl can travel 30-42 blocks upwards or 54-64 blocks forward, depending on the user's velocity when they throw the pearl. The user must also throw the Ender Pearl at about a 35 degree angle to maximize the distance it can travel.
    • Ender Pearls have a cooldown of one second.
    • Ender Pearls can be thrown into End Gateways to get to the outer parts of the End.
    • Ender Pearls can be thrown into an exit portal to return to the spawn point.
    • Bubble columns affect Ender Pearls, and can be used to store them indefinitely.
  2. Combining one Blaze Powder with an Ender Pearl will create an Eye of Ender, which is used to locate strongholds and activate their End Portals.[3]
  3. There is a 10% chance an Ender Pearl will spawn an endermite. The endermite's location varies: in Java Edition, the endermite will spawn at the player's position; in Bedrock Edition, the endermite will spawn where the pearl lands.[4]
