Heatran is a Fire and Steel-type Legendary Pokémon that was initially introduced in the fourth Pokémon Generation.[1] In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Heatran is available in a Mission, that ends with you being able to defeat and then catch it.[2] If you'd like to know how to complete that Mission and get a Heatran of your very own in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, keep reading this wikiHow.
Steps
-
1Finish the game's main story. The Mission needed to get Heatran is not unlocked until after you complete the game's main story, and specifically obtain the Mission titled "The Plate of Firespit Island".[3]
-
2Head to the Cobalt Coastlands, specifically on Firespit Island next to the Lava Dome Arena. This area may feel familiar, because it is the same area where you fought the frenzied Noble Arcanine earlier in the game.[6] Once you arrive on the island, you'll want to head to the left, and then enter the volcano, where you should see Heatran.[7]
- You are able to rematch the frenzied Noble Arcanine before doing this if you'd like, but keep in mind that it will be significantly stronger, so it may be best to wait until after you obtain Heatran.[8]

3Grab the balls of mud that are surrounding you once the battle starts and throw them at Heatran. Once the battle starts, Heatran should put up a barrier of fire, and you'll need to remove this barrier in order to catch it. Throw the balls of mud at Heatran to attempt to remove this barrier, in a similar manner to how you threw the balms at the frenzied Noble Pokémon.[9]
-
4Send out a Pokémon to battle Heatran once its barrier is removed. The Pokémon you send out is, of course, up to you, but keep in mind that Heatran is weak to Ground, Fighting, and Water-type moves, but immune to Poison-type moves.[12]
- Heatran is also level 70, so make sure that you send out Pokémon that are at or around that level.[13]

-
6Add Heatran to your party if you'd like.

If Heatran faints, you will be able to restart the battle, as catching Heatran is necessary to complete the Mission.[17]Thanks
