Instagram now allows you to archive your story highlights just like regular stories. While the app has had the story archive feature for a long time, the option to archive story highlights was introduced only recently. This feature lets you hide your highlights from others without deleting them, and you can unhide or unarchive them anytime you want. This wikiHow will show you how to do it.
Steps
-
1Launch the Instagram app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. Tap the Instagram app icon, which looks like a multicoloured camera. This will open your Instagram home page if you're already logged in.
-
2Go to your profile page. Tap your profile icon at the bottom right corner of the app to open the profile tab.Advertisement
-
3Tap and hold the story highlight you want to hide or archive. You'll find your highlights between your bio and the posts grid.
- A menu panel will appear when you long-press the story highlight.
-
4Tap Archive Highlight. This will be the second option in the menu.
-
5That’s it! Once you complete these steps, you’ll see an “Archived” message at the bottom of your screen. Your story highlight is now successfully archived and hidden from your profile. If you want to unhide it, follow the steps below!
