Instagram didn’t have an option to see which videos you’ve watched, like YouTube’s watch history, until 2025. It’s been a highly requested feature since the introduction of Reels. With this new watch history feature, you can easily find videos that disappeared when you accidentally refreshed the feed or when the app did it automatically. It’s also useful for finding videos you watched weeks ago but forgot to save or like. In this article, we’ll show you how to view your Reels watch history in just a few steps.

  1. 1
Open Instagram. Launch the Instagram app on your Android or iPhone. If you’re already logged in, it will open your home page. If not, log in with your account.
    • Remember, the watch history option isn’t currently available on the web version of Instagram, so you’ll need to use the Android or iOS app. Also, make sure your app is up to date.
  2. 2
Move to your profile page. Tap your profile icon at the bottom right corner of the app to open your profile page.

  3. 3
Tap the three lines () button. You’ll find it at the top right corner. Tapping it will open the settings menu.
  4. 4
Tap on Your activity. This option is located under the “How you use Instagram” section, next to the “Archive” option.
  5. 5
Tap on Watch history. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find it, located next to the “Account history” option.
    • If you can’t find the “Watch history” option on your account, you may need to wait for the update. Since it’s a new feature, it might take a few days for Instagram to roll it out to all users.
  6. 6
You’re all set! You can now view the Reels you’ve watched in the last 30 days. Tap on any video to watch it again. That’s it.
