We'll also provide more helpful TikTok tips and tricks you might not know about!

Quickly Find a TikTok Video After Refreshing

If you accidentally refreshed TikTok while watching a video you want to get back to, you can find it in your watch history. Just tap the search icon at the top of any video in your feed, then search for an asterisk (*). On the results page, tap "View your watch history" to see all the TikTok videos you've watched.

  1. If you accidentally refreshed TikTok before finishing a video, you can find it in your watch history. A fast way to get there is to tap the magnifying glass in the TikTok app, type an asterisk (*) into the search bar, and tap Search.
  2. You'll see this link at the top of your search results. This brings up a list of all the TikToks you've watched.
    • You can also get to your watch history from your profile. To do so, just tap the menu at the top of your profile ☰, then go to Settings and privacy > Activity Center > Watch history.

  3. If you just saw the video today, you should find it near the top of the list, as the most recently watched videos are at the top of the list. If not, you can tap the Filter by date menu to narrow down your results.
    • For example, if you saw the video yesterday, select Yesterday to see the videos you watched on that day only.
    • You can also set a custom date range, or see videos from the last week, last month, or all dates (including today).
    • You can also delete your watch history if you'd like.
  4. Once you find the video, tapping it will open it full screen.

More TikTok Tricks

  1. Did you delete one of your own TikTok videos and want to get it back? As long as it's been fewer than 180 days since you deleted it, it's easy! Here's how:[1]
    • Tap the menu ☰ at the top of your TikTok profile.
    • Tap Settings and privacy.
    • Go to Activity center > Recently deleted.
    • Select the deleted post and tap Restore.
  2. In some regions, and for some accounts, you can actually get paid in TikTok Store vouchers just to use the Search feature in the app. To see if this feature is available for your TikTok account, just tap the magnifying glass at the top-right corner of any TikTok video and look for a message like "Get a $3 voucher (no min. spend) daily when you type 3 searches". If you see it, tap Join, then select Join Now to enable the feature.[2]
    • To earn your voucher, you'll need to browse the results for at least 15 seconds.
  3. Curious about who has been looking at your profile? Think you might have a TikTok stalker? If you turn on viewer history, you can see who viewed your profile in the last 30 days, as long as they also have the feature enabled. Just keep in mind that this also makes it possible for others to see when you've viewed their profile. To turn on viewer history:[3]
    • Tap the footprint icon at the top of your TikTok profile.
    • On the "Turn on viewer history?" screen, tap Turn on.
    • Once the feature is on, you can see who viewed your profile at any time by tapping the footprint icon.
