Tabaxi names are unisex. Unlike many DnD races, the Tabaxi do not have traditional male and female names. Instead, their names are gender-neutral, determined by clan, and based on factors such as astrology, prophecy, and clan history. Tabaxi name structures and patterns are inspired by certain real-world cultures, like the Aztecs.
- Tabaxi names are often shortened by friends and family. These nicknames are derived from their full names.

The Tabaxi also have clan names. Clan names help the Tabaxi know which clan someone belongs to. These names are often based on specific geographical features near the clan’s territory (like “Rumbling River”).
