  1. Go to outlook.com and click Sign in. It's a white button in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. Type in the email address for the account with which you want to log into Outlook.

  3. It's a blue button below the text field. Doing so will take you to the password entry page.
  4. Do so in the "Enter password" text field in the middle of the page.[1]
  5. This blue button is below the text field. Clicking it will sign you into Outlook, where you should see your Outlook inbox awaiting you.
    • Before clicking Sign in, you may optionally check the "Keep me signed in" box to stay logged into your Outlook account for next time.

On the Classic Desktop App

  1. When you first open classic Outlook, it will say it's searching for accounts. After a moment, a field will appear where you can type your email. If your Outlook email is already here, you can move on to the next step.
    • The classic Outlook app will be named "Outlook (classic)", and the icon looks like a sheet of paper coming out of an envelope.
  2. This will bring you to the Microsoft account login process.

  1. Under the "Suggested accounts" label, there is a field where you can type in your Outlook email address.
    • The new Outlook app will be just named "Outlook," and the icon looks like an envelope.
  2. This will begin the sign-in process, and you'll see a screen that says "Setting things up."
  3. Be sure to read the privacy statement before continuing.
  4. You can choose to send optional data to Microsoft or not. Once you choose an option, click Next.
  5. This includes your language settings, dark or light mode theme settings, and more. To apply the settings, click Apply Settings. Otherwise, click Skip to access your Outlook inbox.[3]

  2. It's a blue button near the bottom of the screen.

    • If you tap Add Account, you won't need to follow the rest of the steps in this section, as your account will be automatically added. If you tap Skip, you'll need to continue with the steps below.
  4. Type your Outlook email address into the text field in the middle of the "Add Account" page.
  5. It's a blue button below the text field.
    • On Android, tap CONTINUE here.
  6. Tap the "Password" text field, then enter your Outlook account's password.
  7. The Outlook app will remember your sign-in information, so you shouldn't have to log back into Outlook on your phone.[4]
