This wikiHow teaches you how to use the Gmail app on your Android to send email messages.

How to Send a Gmail Message on Android

Open your preferred email app (such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Outlook).
Tap the Compose button, which usually has a pencil icon on it.
Tap the To: field and type the email address of your recipient.
Tap the Subject field and type the subject of your email.
Tap the Compose email field and type up the body of your email message.
Tap the Send button, which usually has an icon of a paper airplane.

Open the Gmail app on your Android.

You can use the Gmail app to send and receive messages through Gmail. Your Google email account (Gmail) was set up automatically when you first signed into your Android. To use it, tap the multicolored envelope or "M" icon on your home screen. If you don’t see it there, you’ll find it in the app drawer.^{[1]

Choose a recipient.

  in the “To:” field, then type another address into the “CC:” field.

Enter an email subject for quick reference and clarity.

If you are using Gmail, then go the sent tab and check whether your message is in the sent list; if not, then it was not sent.
