Your Best Friends on Snapchat are the eight people you chat and Snap with most. Snapchat displays your Best Friends at the top of both the Chats and Send To screens, making it super easy to keep up your favorite conversations. Your Best Friends list always stays private, and updates automatically as your relationships wax and wane. This wikiHow teaches you where you can find a list of your Best Friends on Snapchat.

How to Check Your Best Friends List on Snapchat

When you open Snapchat, tap on the Chat tab, swipe through the groups on top, and tap on Best Friends. Alternatively, tap on your Bitmoji in the top-left corner, scroll down to "My Friends," and look under the Best Friends heading.

  1. It's the yellow icon with a white ghost. When you open Snapchat, you'll see the camera screen.[1]
    • If you aren't logged into Snapchat, tap Log In and enter your username (or email address) and password.[2]
  2. This takes you to the Chats screen.
    • You will also see your Best Friends on the top of the Send To screen, which is the screen that appears after you compose a Snap and select Send to.[3]

  3. Each of your best friends appears at the top of the list.[4] This makes it easy to find the people you chat with most! You'll notice that the people on your Best Friends list have special Friend Emojis—these can help you figure out just how close you really are:[5]
    • If you see a red heart next to a friend's name, you've been each other's #1 Best Friend for two weeks in a row.
    • If you see two overlapping red hearts, that makes you two Super BFFs, meaning that you've both been each other's Best Friends for two months in a row.
    • A yellow heart means that you and this person are each other's #1 Best Friends.
    • A yellow grinning face means that you and that person are Best Friends, but not each other's #1 Best Friend.
    • A toothy nervous grin means that your #1 Best Friend is also that person's #1 Best Friend.

What if my friend isn't showing on my friends list, but when I search their name it says that we're friends?

Usually it's a glitch when you first add someone, but sometimes it happens when you don't hit people up for a while. I just search everyone because there's just too much to scroll through sometimes.
