If you know someone's phone number, you may be able to use it to find someone's Facebook account. As long as the phone number is associated with the account, it will come up when you search for the phone number. There are also a few other ways to find someone on Facebook. This wikiHow will show you how to search a phone number on Facebook using the website or phone app.

Searching Facebook Account by Phone Number

To search a phone number on Facebook, click or tap the search icon on your home feed. Enter the phone number (including the area code), and send your search. You'll see the user if their phone number is linked to an account and public.

Go to facebook.com in a web browser. You can use a desktop browser on a computer or a mobile browser on a phone or a tablet.

If you don't know someone's phone number but you know their email address, you can enter this in the search field instead. As long as the user has their email address public, you should be able to find the Facebook account attached to it.
Facebook allows users to use a nickname as long as it's a variation of their real name (such as Bob for Robert).^{[4]

Look for groups the user may have joined. If you're unsure of a person's phone number, email address, or profile name, you can try looking for the user through groups they may have joined. You can find the Groups tab on the left side of your feed on the Facebook website, or in the menu on the mobile app. Enter keywords for your search, such as volleyball, reading, or another topic. Select a group and search its existing members.
- Some groups require you to join them before you can view their member list.

Look at other users' friend lists. If you know you have friends in common with a user, you can check your friends' friend list. This can be found on their profile, typically below their profile picture. You may be able to recognize some users from another person's list.
