My top favorite anime of all time include, Sword Art Online, Naruto, Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball Z, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia.
Where we’re at in anime right now in 2026, I’d definitely recommend Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer.
We’re in the last arc of Fire Force, and it ties into Soul Eater, which is a very niche, but very popular anime.
Blue Lock is a great sports anime. It’s a soccer anime with some similarities to Squid Games, where these guys are trying to be the best striker on a soccer team and not be eliminated from the game of Blue Lock. Season 2 has some interesting animation style choices, but the story is really good.
The Promised Neverland season 1 is 11/10, top tier, fantastic stuff. Unfortunately, Season 2 dropped the ball, took out a whole arc, and changed a lot.
The newest anime that I would recommend is Gachiakuta, which is beautifully done. The character design is awesome, and the soundtrack is beautiful. It's so unique.

For a starter anime’s I started with My hero Academia, Blue lock, Spy x family. Then probably Jujustu Kaisen, Fragrent flowers blooms with dignity, blue box, my happy marriage, and wind breaker. In my opinion the best anime I’ve watched is JJK, Blue lock, and Wind breaker

If your looking for an anime to start related to action, I would go for a shonen anime that is popular. Good starts are Naruto, Demon Slayer, and HunterxHunter, Death note(You can watch these on Netflix, but I'd recommend Crunchyroll). If you want romance, look for shoujo anime. Anime like "From Me to You" is something you should start before going into deeper ones. Others I would recommend are "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End", "The Apothecary Diaries", "One Punch Man", "Gachiakuta", "Jujustu Kaisen", "My Hero Academia", once ya get started, you'll discover more for yourself and maybe even read manga. Also, for movies, I WOULD RECCOMEND ANYTHING FROM STUDIO GHIBLI.

I would recommend somethings soft/lighthearted to beginners like Komi can't communicate and progress to The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity then My Happy Marriage and then My hero Academia then Jujistu Kaisen then Demon Slayer but that's me and watch whatever you desire!
