Who do you think is the unofficial leader of BLACKPINK?
BLACKPINK doesn't have an official leader. All four members of the group share the spotlight, divide responsibilities among themselves, and lead the group as a unit.
That being said, some fans believe Jisoo is the unofficial leader of the group because she seems to take the lead during shows most of the time and because she's the oldest member. Other fans believe Jennie could be the unofficial leader because she has trained the longest and was the first confirmed member in the group. However, as Jennie herself said in a March 2025 interview with Apple Music, "BLACKPINK don't have an official leader, which is not common for a K-pop group...[During the training days,] there was a side of me where I thought, 'I know this so well. I know what to do and I know how to do it'...But I don't think that necessarily made me think [that] I need to lead."
So there you have it! There's no official leader, and the group seems to like it that way. We're happy if they're happy!
