Sorry if this is hard to read, recovering from surgery. So there's this girl at my school. She's always talking about how she's a rebel and how girls are just so hard to understand. But she also does tend to hang out with girls and is not really putting people down. Is she a pick me?

No I don't believe so! As a teenager, and a girl, I hang out with girls and they are hard to understand! But so are guys! People are hard to understand in general, this could just be them exaggerating or trying to be funny.

How do you spot a pick me girl?
So, I have a little sister who occasionally refers to one of her friends as a “pick me” girl. Google says this is someone who seeks out male validation to a kind of a silly level, but that doesn’t really seem like it encompasses everything? I’ve asked my sister about it but she’s kind of evasive and not very good at explaining what she means. Is this a slur? Is that why my sister is kind of flighty about it? Someone break it down for me!

I don't know whether i should end my friendship or not
I don't know what to do. There is a friend I have and we are at the same class together. But she is encouraging me to rebel against everyone, when she arrives at school everyday she is always several hours late or even doesn't come at all 1 or 2 times a week. I don't know whether I should end my friendship or not. Please help me.

How do you know if you're toxic?
This quiz said that I'm toxic but I don't agree with that! I don't think the questions are very fair. Is it toxic to want your best friend's new friends to be nice? Is it toxic to think that drama is just a part of life? Toxic would be like, actively manipulating people or harming others for your own gain. How do you know if someone likes you? There’s this girl at school I like, and I think she likes me, but I can’t really tell. I don’t want to ask her to be my girlfriend if she’s just going to say no. Do I ask her if she likes me over text? Or do I just look for big signs?

Does she like me? Confused.
Met this girl in school (grad). Been hanging out for several times over two weeks - really long sessions with sports, shopping, food, going to each other's dorms. Nothing explicitly intimate happened, but there were moments (sitting close, her ears turning red when we touched, inviting me to her room after mentioning her date). Had deep conversations, she laughed at all my jokes. Started to feel she might have feelings too - she kept extending our time together, seemed to create opportunities for something to happen. But I never had the guts to make it explicit or call anything a "date." Few days ago during a multi-hour hangout where she seemed to be giving me chances (kept finding reasons to extend our time, physical closeness), she casually mentioned she had a date that night. Later told me it went well and showed me her dating app with dozens of matches. Mixed signals? Close-friend-zoned? My own blindness? Cultural confusion about American dating? Still processing.

Why did this girl start talking to me again after ignoring me?
I (M19) am currently talking to a girl I met in a survey class (she’s 20F, I think). The thing is, I thought we were really hitting it off but she randomly gets cold and distant. When we first starting talking, we chatted basically every day for like a week. Then, she totally went dark. It felt like she was ignoring me, but she texted me like a week later and apologized for being busy. She’s done this like two times. What’s going on, you think? It feels like we flirt a lot when we talk, but then she just goes totally cold and it’s driving me nuts. You think I have a shot here?
