Fortunately, it's easy to find the model and serial numbers for any top-loading or front-loading dryer. In most cases, you'll just need to open the dryer door and look around its edges for a sticker or plate containing the numbers you need.   • In most cases, you'll find your dryer's model number inside the door, either on the back or front of the inner faceplate.
  • On a few Samsung, Maytag, and Fisher & Paykel dryers, the model number sticker may be on the back of the appliance.

  1. The location of the model and serial number plate varies by model, but you'll always find it in one of these four spots:
    • On the upper-left corner of the back of your dryer.
    • On the inside of your dryer at the back of the top, visible only when the door is open.
    • On the inner wall or rim of the door.
    • If you have a gas dryer, you may find the model number behind the access panel.[2]

    • Front loading dryers: Open the dryer door. If your dryer was manufactured after 2001, you'll find the model number plate inside the door at the top. If you don't see the sticker, check the back of the dryer. For older dryers, the model number is on the sticker you see on the front of the dryer when the door is open.
    • Top loading dryers: You'll find the model and serial numbers on the back of the dryer's control panel. It'll be on the left side of the back panel when you're facing the appliance.
