Using the Online Chat

  1. Navigate to verizon.com/support. This is the Verizon customer support page. Here, you can find a variety of contact and support options, including chat.
    • Many Verizon pages also have a Chat with us button in the bottom right corner that you can use to start a chat.
    • If you have an account with Mobile Secure, you can chat directly with a live tech support agent 24/7 from the My Verizon app.[8] Go to the Mobile or Home tab in your app, then tap your mobile number or device in the Devices section. Tap Tech Coach Support in the Troubleshoot & Support section. Tap a topic or type a question to connect to an agent.
  2. If you have a fairly simple question, this method will probably work. Click this button, and a chat window will immediately open.
  3. You can also select one of the suggested topics in the chat window. After typing a question or some keywords, click the button that looks like a paper airplane to send your query.
  4. Before the chat can proceed, you’ll need to log in with your Verizon account information. Click the Sign In button in the chat window when it appears.
  5. If the virtual assistant isn’t giving you the answers you need, you can ask to speak to a real person. Type something like “speak to a representative” or “chat with a live agent.” Follow the prompts to start chatting with a real person.

Trying Alternative Methods of Support

  1. If you don’t want to spend a bunch of time on hold or fight your way through a lot of automated menus to talk to a real person, you can request a call from an agent. Visit the Contact Us page and click the Schedule a call button. You’ll need to sign in with your Verizon account information before you can continue.
  2. If you don’t need to talk to someone right away, you can submit an online request for help. Go to the Contact Us page and click Create support request. You’ll need to sign in before you can submit your request.
  3. You can download the My Verizon app from your phone’s App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). The first time you use the app, you’ll need to sign in with your Verizon account info. Tap the Support tab at the bottom of the screen to find a variety of support and contact tools, including live chat.[9]
  4. Sometimes the best option is to get help in person. Use the Stores page to find your nearest Verizon store or schedule a service or sales appointment.
  5. You might be able to find the answers you need without contacting anyone. The Verizon website has an extensive library of support articles on a variety of subjects, from billing and account issues to tech support. Visit www.verizon.com/support and search for the issue you’re having trouble with, or browse by category.
  6. Visit www.facebook.com/verizon and log in with your Facebook account (if you aren’t already logged in). Click the blue Message icon near the top of the page to open a chat window. Once you do so, you will be able to send Verizon a direct message containing your question.
    • You can ask Verizon almost anything, and they will do their best to solve your issue. It can be about Verizon products, account questions, or troubleshooting. However, it is best not to divulge sensitive information over social media.
  7. Once you log in to your X account, tag Verizon Support (@VerizonSupport) in a tweet containing your question. This will notify the Verizon Support account team of your tweet. After a short wait, they will reply to the tweet and try to help however they can.
    • As X tweets/posts are limited to 280 characters for most accounts, X would work best for questions that can be asked and answered succinctly.
    • Don’t include sensitive information, like your phone number or Verizon login info, in your public posts on X.
  8. If you prefer, you can also send Verizon a physical letter. Package your letter in a well-sealed envelope with a stamp, then write the following address onto the front: Verizon Wireless Correspondence P.O. Box 291089 Columbia, SC 29229.[10]
    • Although a letter isn't the fastest way to get in touch with Verizon, you can still ask any questions relating to your Verizon service.
    • You can also pay your bill by mail, but there are multiple addresses that serve different parts of the country. Look up the correct address for your area here.
  9. If you’re not finding the info you need elsewhere, someone in the Verizon community might be able to help. Go to community.verizon.com and search for the topic you need help with, or click the Ask a question button at the top of the page to start a new discussion. You’ll need to sign in with your Verizon account to participate in the forum.
