See what devices are logged into Instagram and sign them out

Do you have the sneaking suspicion that someone is using your Instagram account? Luckily, checking your login activity is pretty easy to do using either the app or the website. There are also ways to increase your account security. Here's how to check Instagram login devices on your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Quick Steps

  1. Tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap Accounts Center.
  4. Tap Password and security.
  5. Tap Where you're logged in.
  6. Tap your account to view your login activity.

Using the Mobile App

  1. You'll see it in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. This three-line menu icon is in the top-right corner of your screen.

  3. This is at the very top of the page.
  4. You can find this towards the middle of the page, underneath the Account settings header.
  5. This is under the Security checks header.
  6. A new page will open with your login activity.
  7. You'll see your current activity and logins on other devices.[1]
    • To sign out of devices, tap Select devices to log out. Tap each device, and then tap Log out at the bottom.

Using Desktop

  1. You can find this on the left sidebar of Instagram on the web. A pop-up menu will open.
    • If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address or username and password to do so now.
  2. This is at the top of the menu.
  3. This is the tile on the left side, underneath the Settings header.[2]
    • A new page will open.
  4. You can find this in the left panel, underneath the Account settings header.
  5. This is under the Security checks header.[3]
  6. A new page will open with your login activity.
  7. You'll see your current activity and logins on other devices.
    • To sign out of devices, click Select devices to log out. Click each device, and then click Log out at the bottom.

Increasing Account Security

  1. This feature can protect your account by requiring a unique code when logging in from unknown devices.[4] To enable it, do the following:
    • Select .
    • Select Settings.
    • Select Accounts Center.
    • Select Password and security.
    • Select Two-factor authentication and select your account.
    • Select a security method.
  2. When this is on, you may get notifications if a device logs into your Instagram account as well as where the login originated.[5] This feature can only be enabled if you have two-factor authentication. Do the following:
    • Select .
    • Select Settings.
    • Select Accounts Center.
    • Select Password and security.
    • Select Two-factor authentication.
    • Toggle on Login requests.
