PDF download Download Article

Crunchyroll has a wide variety of anime shows and movies available to stream. As Crunchyroll doesn't have a watch-party feature, you can use Discord to share your screen with your friends. You'll just need to load the movie or show in a browser and add it to Discord as a game. Make sure to stay updated on Crunchyroll's Terms of Service to ensure you're not violating any copyright agreements. This wikiHow will show you how to stream Crunchyroll on Discord using your Windows or Mac computer.

  1. If others are still seeing a black screen, use a different browser. Be sure to disable hardware acceleration on the new browser and restart it before streaming.
  2. If you recently disabled hardware acceleration in Discord, you may need to end the stream and then start it again.
  3. This tricks Discord into thinking the web browser that's playing Crunchyroll is a game. Do the following:
    • Click Registered Games in the left panel.
    • Click Add it! This will be in blue, next to Not seeing your game?
    • Click the drop-down menu and select your browser. In some cases, your browser will be named as your active tab.
    • Click Add Game. Discord will register your browser as a game.
    • Exit the window by pressing Esc on your keyboard or by clicking the X in the top-right corner.
    • Navigate to a server and click the Stream icon next to the "game" name.
    • Select your stream settings and click Go Live.
