If both your and your recipient's banks support Zelle, you can transfer money from your bank account to theirs in minutes with no extra fees! There's no separate Zelle app to install–you'll just need to enroll in Zelle using your bank's mobile app or website. Find out if your bank supports Zelle. Unlike payment services like Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal, Zelle doesn't have an app you can install for sending money. If your bank supports Zelle, you'll be able to send and receive money using your bank's app or website. To find out if your bank supports Zelle, visit enroll.zellepay.com in a web browser, click Start Search, and search for your bank.^{[1]

- The person you're sending money to must also have a bank account with a bank that supports Zelle. You cannot send money to someone with Zelle if they don't have an account with a participating bank.

Register for Zelle through your bank's Zelle website or app. If your bank is listed, click its name, then select Continue to Your Bank to visit your bank's Zelle website. The location will vary by banking app and website, but you'll usually see a "Send Money with Zelle" or "Zelle" option somewhere prominent. It may be hidden in a "Transfer" or "Payments" section.

- If you're paying someone with Zelle through a QR code, tap the QR code icon at the top of the Select Recipient screen, and your phone's camera will open.
- Be sure to enter the phone number or email address correctly. You cannot cancel a Zelle payment once the money arrives in the recipient's account.
- Zelle doesn't offer payment or purchase protection. Only use it to send money to people you trust.
Use the keypad to enter the amount you want to send to the other person. Different banks have different limits on how much you can send at once, so you should refer to your bank if you plan on sending a large amount of money.

Follow the on-screen instructions to send your payment. You'll typically have the option to review the payment before sending. Once you approve and send your payment, the recipient will receive a notification (via text message or email) letting them know they've received a Zelle payment.
