Do you want to save Google Translate audio to your Android phone? Since the Google Translate app does not include the functionality to record the voice, you can use Easy Voice Recorder instead. If you would rather store the translations in the Google Translate app, you can save translations to your phrasebook instead. Here's how to record the Google Translate voice on Android.

  1. Download Easy Voice Recorder.
  2. Open Google Translate and enter your translation.
  3. Start the recording on Easy Voice Recorder.
  4. Return to Google Translate and tap the speaker icon.
  5. Tap the stop icon when you're done recording.

  1. You can find this in the Google Play Store.[1]
    • Easy Voice Recorder is recommended as it can record while running in the background of your device. If you want to use another recording app, make sure it has this function.

  3. Use the drop-down menus to enter the languages you need translated. Tap the text field to enter your text.
    • You can tap the camera icon to translate a picture or the microphone icon to record speech to translate.
  4. You can find this on your home screen or app drawer.
    • You may be asked to allow permission to access your microphone. Tap Ok, Got It!.
  5. This is in the bottom middle of your screen.
    • Sound picked up through your microphone is recorded.
  6. This is located in the widget notification center along the top of your screen.
    • You can access this button by swiping down from the top of your screen.
  7. Return to the Easy Voice Recorder app. You'll see your recording listed. Tap Listen to play the recording.
    • To share the recording, tap and select a share option.
    • You can also record Google Translate on your computer.

Saving Translations to Your Phrasebook

  2. This is in the upper right of the blue tile of your translated phrase.
    • The phrase will be saved to your phrasebook within Google Translate.
    • If you want to view your saved phrases, tap and tap Phrasebook.
