Do you want to add more than one picture to an Instagram Story? There are a few different ways you can do this, including creating stickers, using Layout, and uploading multiple images at once. This wikiHow article teaches you how to put multiple pictures on an Instagram Story using the mobile app on an Android, iPad, or iPhone, with expert tips from social media influencer Jenna Jean Davis.

Add Multiple Pictures to an Instagram Story

Swipe left and expand the menu on the left. Tap the Layout option. Select a layout grid, and then select the picture you want to add to each frame. Alternatively, you can tap the Sticker icon and select the Photo option. This allows you to add pictures as stickers.

   Open Instagram. The app icon is a camera inside a square that’s a gradient from yellow to purple. This will launch Instagram.

   Swipe from left to right to open your Story camera. Alternatively, you can tap the plus (+) icon in the upper-right corner.

   Tap the photo icon. It's in the bottom left corner of your screen and will open your camera roll.

   • Alternatively, you can tap the capture button at the bottom to capture a photo with your camera.

   Tap Select and tap the photos to include in your Story. Select is in the upper-right corner. Once you tap Select, you can tap up to 10 pictures to add them to your Story. Tapping the pictures you want to use will add a blue number badge in the top right corner of the picture to indicate its position in the selection.

   • Make sure the pictures you select are numbered in the order you want them to appear.
   • If you don't see this option, it may not be available yet in your country or region.

   Tap Next. It's in the bottom right corner of your screen.

   Select Separate or Layout. “Separate” will upload each photo as a separate story. Selecting “Layout” will post all pictures in a grid format in a single story. It will automatically choose a grid format.

   Customize your Story. You can add a filter to each picture as well as text, stickers, effects, music, and more.

   Tap Next. It's in the bottom right corner of your screen.

   • If you select the Layout option, tap the right arrow (>) in the lower-right corner instead.

   • If you want to share the Story with a specific person, tap their name from the Message drop-down before you select Share.

   Select a grid layout. To do so, tap the icon that resembles a 4x4 grid on the left side of the screen. Then tap an icon that resembles the layout you want to use. You can select a 4x4 grid, a 2x1 horizontal grid, a 1x2 vertical grid, a 3x1 grid, or a 3x2 grid (6 photos).

   Tap the photo icon. It's in the bottom left corner of your screen and will open your camera roll.

Using Stickers

   Select your bottom-layer image. This will be the background, and you'll add stickers of pictures over the picture that's set as your background.

   • You can change the size of a picture by using pinch-zoom or change its position by tapping and dragging.

   Tap the sticker icon. It looks like a sticky note with a smiley face on it that you'll find in the top right corner of your screen.

   Tap Photo. It has an icon that resembles a photograph. This will open your camera roll.

   • Alternatively, you can use the Cutout sticker, which allows you to post the subject(s) of a photo without the background.

   Select the photo you want to layer on top. It will appear as a sticker. You can change the position of the sticker by tapping and dragging in. You can change the size of the picture/sticker by pinch-zooming, or reverse-pinch zooming.

   • To add multiple pictures as stickers, repeat this process a few more times. First, tap the sticker icon, then tap the Photo option. Then tap the photo you want to add.
