Posting a GIF on X (formerly Twitter) can be done using the built-in GIF button during post creation. If you want to upload your own GIF saved on your device, you'll need to use the "photo" button instead. Here's how to post a GIF on Twitter (X) using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Uploading GIFs on X

To post a GIF on X (Twitter), start a new post or reply. Select the GIF icon below the post draft, and then select a GIF from the gallery. If you're uploading a GIF from your device, click the photo icon and select the GIF from your gallery. Select Post to post your GIF.
