Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging service for multiple platforms. You can send messages, photos, videos, and files to your friends using this service. In this wikiHow article, we will teach you how to log in to your Telegram account in your web browser using a QR code, your phone number, or a passkey.

Go to the Telegram website in a browser.

Visit web.telegram.org in a web browser. You can do this in any browser, including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. You’ll need to have a phone on hand with the Telegram app installed.

Open the Telegram app on your phone. Make sure you’re logged in with the account you want to use on your computer.

Tap Settings. It’s in the menu at the bottom of the app.

Select Devices. You may need to scroll down to see this option.

Tap Link Desktop Device. It’s a blue button near the top of the menu.
- If prompted, allow Telegram to access your phone’s camera.

Aim your phone at the QR code. When the camera opens in Telegram, aim your phone at the QR code on the Telegram website. It should instantly scan the code. Your Telegram account will open in the browser! You’ll also see the session in your browser in the list of Active Sessions in the mobile app.
- To log out, click ☰ at the top left side of the page, click your name, and then click ••• > Log Out.

Go to web.telegram.org in your browser. Open a browser on your computer and type web.telegram.org in the address bar, hit the Enter button.^{[1]

Click Log in by Phone Number. You’ll see this link under the QR code login instructions.
Click on the Country drop-down and select your country from the list. It may already be selected by default. You can either browse through the list of countries or type in your country’s name to bring it up instantly.

Type your phone number. In the Your phone number field, enter your number. Don’t enter your country code. When you’re done, click the blue Next button or press Enter or Return.
- If you like, you can check the box next to “Keep me signed in” under the phone number field before you click Next.

Enter the confirmation code. When you enter your phone number, Telegram will send a verification code to your phone. Type the confirmation code in the Code box. When you enter the confirmation code correctly, the web page automatically redirects to your account.
- To log out, click ☰ at the top left side of the page, click your name, and then click ••• > Log Out.

Go to web.telegram.org in any web browser. You’ll see a page with several login options.
- Before you can use the passkey method, you’ll need to create a passkey for the Telegram website on your computer. Once you do that, you can instantly log in whenever you like using your passkey!^{[2]

- You can also potentially create a passkey in Telegram on your phone, then use it to sign in on the web if you have passkeys synced across devices.
  - If you have an iPhone and a Mac logged into the same Apple Account, you can create the passkey on your phone and save it to your Apple Passwords.
  - You can save the passkey in Google Password Manager on any device.
  - To create a passkey in Telegram on your phone, open the Telegram app and go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Passkeys.

Log in with a QR code or your phone number. You’ll need to use one of these methods to log in so you can set up your passkey.
- For security reasons, you’ll need to wait a few hours after logging in on a new device for the first time before you can create a passcode.

Click ☰ at the top left corner of the page. It’s at the top of your list of chats.

Click your name or Settings. Either will take you to the Settings menu.

Scroll down and click Privacy and Security. It’s about halfway down the menu.

Select Passkeys. A window will pop up with information about passkeys.

Click Create Passkey. This button is at the bottom of the pop-up window. Follow the prompts to create a passkey.
- If you get an error message saying it’s too soon to create a passkey with your current session on a new device, wait a few hours and try again.

Log out and return to the main log-in page. To sign out of your current session, click ☰ at the top left side of the page, click your name, and then click ••• > Log Out. This will take you back to the log-in screen.

Click Log in with Passkey. It’s at the bottom of the menu.

Follow the prompts to sign in. Typically, you’ll be prompted to use your fingerprint, FaceID, or your computer’s password/passcode to sign in. Once you provide the requested passcode or biometric data, you’ll be instantly logged into Telegram!
