Are you trying to add hyperlinked words to your Discord bio but not having any luck? Unfortunately, you can't hyperlink specific words, but you can add links to your bio in general. In this article, we go over why you can't add hyperlinked words to your Discord bio, as well as how to add a hyperlink to your "About Me" section. Keep reading to learn more.
Discord Bio Hyperlinking
You can't hyperlink words in a Discord bio. You can, however, insert links in general. To add a link to your Discord bio, open your Discord settings and edit your profile, then paste the link into your bio. Long links will need to be shortened using a link shortener.
Steps
Pasting a Link in a Discord Bio
-
Open your Discord settings. How you do this varies depending on if you're on your computer or mobile device:
- Computer: Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner, by your username.
- Mobile: Tap the tab that says "You" at the bottom of the screen.
-
Open your Discord user profile settings. To do this, click Edit User Profile on your computer or tap Edit Profile on mobile.
- On the computer, the Edit User Profile button is blue, and it's located next to your username in the "My Account" tab.
- On the mobile app, the Edit Profile button is gray, and it's located under your username near the top of the screen.
-
Open your per-server profile (if desired). If you have Discord Nitro, you can have a different profile for each server you're in. If you want to edit your per-server profile, click or tap Per-server Profiles at the top of the "Profile" menu. Then, choose the per-server profile you want to edit from the drop-down menu.
- If you don't have Nitro or you want to edit your overall profile, skip to the next step.
-
Paste your desired link into the "About Me" section. Note that your "About Me" section can only have 190 characters, so long links won't work here. If you have a long link that you want to add, you might need to use a link shortener such as Bit.ly.
