  • Men also rate “dependable character” as the second most important quality in a married partner.
  • In third, most men want their partner to have the same opinions on children and family.
  • Surprisingly, having a similar political background ranks much further down the list at #17, after things like similar religious backgrounds, good finances, intelligence, and being a good cook.
