If you want to hide your followers list on TikTok, you must change your account to private. You can also hide your following list if you prefer, without making your account private. In this article, we'll teach you how to hide your followers and following list on TikTok. Read on to learn how.

Hiding Followers and Following on TikTok

To hide your follower list, you'll have to change your account to a private one. Go to your profile, tap the three-line button, then tap Settings and privacy > Privacy, and toggle on Private account. To hide your following list, tap on Following list in the privacy menu and choose Only me.

Go to your TikTok profile. With the TikTok app open, tap on the Profile button in the bottom-right corner.
- To hide your followers list, you'll need to make your account private. Having a private account means no one can see anything on your account unless you allow them to follow you.^{[1]

Tap the ☰ button in the upper-right corner. This will pull up a menu on the side of your screen.

Tap on Settings and privacy. It's the last option on the list, and it has an icon of a gear. Tapping this option will move to a new screen.

Tap on Privacy. It's under the "Account" header, and the option has an icon of a lock.

Tap the Private account toggle at the top of the screen. Having a private account will hide your followers from anyone who doesn't already follow you. If someone looks at your profile while it's private, they'll see a notice that your account is private. If they try to follow you, you'll have to approve it.

Go to your TikTok profile. With the TikTok app open, tap on the Profile button in the bottom-right corner.
- If you've made your account private, accounts that already follow you will still be able to see your followers list. You'll have to remove followers to hide your followers list from them.

Tap on your follower list. Under your name, you'll see a section that says "followers" with the number of your followers listed above. Tap on this number to view your followers list.
