Whether you're viewing a live video or hosting one, getting rid of comments is easy. As a viewer, you can long-press the screen and use the "Clear display" feature to show only the video. If you're hosting the live, you can also set your comment preferences to filter, block, or hide any keywords or phrases you choose (or, disable comments entirely). This wikiHow will show you how to hide comments on a TikTok LIVE as a viewer or creator.

Things You Should Know

  • If you're viewing a TikTok LIVE: tap and hold the screen until a menu pops up. Tap "Clear display".
  • To show comments again, tap the rectangular icon in the bottom-left corner.
  • If you're hosting a TikTok LIVE: open the LIVE settings and tap "Comments". Select a comment preference.
