  1. When Gimmighoul is in Chest Form, you can battle and defeat or catch them. While you likely already have a Gimmighoul that you're trying to evolve into a Gholdengo, defeating or catching a Gimmighoul can yield you 10 to 777 Gimmighoul Coins.[1]
  2. While finding Roaming Form Gimmighoul is a bit difficult, finding one of these Pokémon will net you 1 to 200 Gimmighoul Coins. Roaming Form Gimmighouls cannot be caught, and will run away after you interact with them.
    • Roaming Form Gimmighoul can be found in random places around Paldea.

The coins are used up when you evolve Gimmighoul, similar to most other evolution items in the game. Choose which Gimmighoul you want to evolve wisely, as it can take up to a week of real-life time to collect enough coins.
