  • New Year (January 1st): The New Year marks the beginning of many new exciting adventures and experiences, so whether you like to step into the moment partying, reflecting on the past, or making a New Year’s Resolution list, it’s a special holiday with which to start new journeys!
  • Valentine’s Day (February 14th): As chocolate boxes begin to populate the shelves of stores and pink hearts start to crop up all around, you’ll know that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Celebrating love, connection, and commitment, is it any wonder that Valentine’s Day is romanticized and one of the most popular holidays?
  • St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th): A public holiday in Ireland that is also celebrated internationally, St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday held to commemorate the death of St. Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint. Members of the Irish diaspora have popularized celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day, which often involve wearing green, hosting parades, and merrymaking.
  • April Fool’s (April 1st): April Fool’s is the day for pranksters and jokesters. One of the most popular ways to celebrate April Fool’s is by playing harmless pranks on friends and family, and shouting “April Fool’s!” at their bewildered expressions.
  • Cinco de Mayo (May 5th): Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican victory over invading French forces on May 5th, 1862. Celebrated in Mexico and also by those of Mexican-American heritage in the United States, Cinco de Mayo can involve parades, food, music, and dance.

  • Labor Day (first Monday of September): Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States that honors the work of laborers and their contributions to society. This holiday is marked by school closure, parades, and barbecues.
  • Halloween (October 31st): Halloween is the day of all things spooky and scary. The customs of Halloween are some of the most unusual, which involve children and sometimes adults dressing up in costumes and going around door-to-door asking for candy, with the threat of tricks!
  • Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday of November): Thanksgiving, like its name suggests, is a holiday that brings attention to all that we ought to be thankful and grateful for in life. During Thanksgiving, families come together and feast on turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.
