Labubu dolls are popular for a variety of reasons, including celebrity endorsement, their blind boxes, social media trends, and scarcity. Here’s a breakdown:

- Celebrity endorsement: Popular celebs like Lisa from BLACKPINK, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Kim Kardashian, and Simone Biles have all been spotted sporting Labubus. These celebrities have super large fan bases, so their endorsements have likely contributed to the doll’s rise in popularity.
- Blind box experience: Labubus come in a “blind box,” meaning you won’t know which one you get until you open the package. This makes each unboxing experience unique and surprising, and it drives people to buy more until they get the Labubu they’re hoping for. Try wikiHow's Labubu blind box generator to collect all of your favorites online.
- Social media trends: Labubu unboxing videos frequently go viral on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, which may incentivize people to buy Labubus and make their own posts.
- Scarcity: PopMart makes a finite amount of Labubus, and they’re constantly selling out, which makes them pretty hard to get. This makes Labubus feel like a rare and valuable collectible and drives people to want them more. Check out this article about the rarest Labubus to learn which ones are the hardest to find and most valuable.
labubu is very cute and brings a lot of emotional value to humans. Moreover, other types of dolls are also sold at very high prices. This is a trend. Where there is a suitable group of people, corresponding products will emerge.

fr I don't know who made them but if that is there creativity than good for them. I still do think they are worth the hype.

normally I value other people's opinions even if I disagree, but you sir/madam have the correct opinion.

One of my kids loves them and one thinks they're overhyped and weird. The one who loves them thinks they're cute but is definitely swayed by the fact all her friends have them. Trends build upon themselves, I guess.

“It’s funny how trends work, right? One kid thinks they’re the cutest thing ever, and the other can’t understand the hype at all! 😂 Peer influence definitely plays a big part—once all their friends have something, it suddenly becomes must-have. Kids and their trends… always unpredictable!”

Because they are so much just for a fake gold doll that has to be evil because the way they look is just up surd and who would spend that much money just for an ugly doll

Because I think Labubus are creepy. Even if the internet is wrong, I'm not taking the risk of buying them.

Somehow, labubus are popular because of their stupid creepy look and price. Personally, I will not buy one because I’m not becoming the next victim of chucky.

nah maybe your just denying the fact that labubus are the best thing ever and you WANT to be apart of the cult

Imagine hating Labubus… couldn’t be me. Y’all really looking at peak design, peak cuteness, peak vibes and still choosing to be wrong 😭 Like bro, Labubus are literally art, and you’re out here acting like a hater is a personality trait. Touch some grass and maybe your taste will respawn.

It’s crazy what a doll does to a person (btw, I know for a FACT that you upvoted your own comment)

its funny how You spent so much on something that looks like it came out of a 2P arcade machine, modern day furbies

Don't listen to the haters Nina. You are so right, jealousy changes people for the worst. I know, because my sister Sockie is super jealous of my fashion sense. Don't let Jazmine the Mutt and all the other haters dull your sparkle!!!

they're products of consumerism. They may be cute, yeah, but they cost so much. You're just giving all of your money to these companies for something that nobody will remember in a year. Which, like, go ahead and spend your money on whatever you want, I won't judge. Many people don't like labubus forr that reason, though. Why support such subpar items, yk?

It sounds like you're talking about a popular toy or trend that's sparking some debate in your household! It's funny how trends can take off, especially with kids and their friends. Is there anything specific you'd like to know or discuss about this trend? Maybe you're wondering about its origins, why it's so popular, or even just looking for some relatable experiences from other parents?

Using CHATGPT to create a comment for you because you have no spark of creative ideas is crazy🥜

Honestly i hate them but atleast their a gender neutral toy despite mainly being bought by girls honestly the only good quality ngl
View hidden comment
yes i think most people buy because they are popular same like gta san andreas for andriod still popular

I understand that we are all fighting bout it, but it's our opinion, so leave it alone

I voted no because they are an expensive trend that will eventually pass in a year or two like all of the other trends. I believe that buying labubus are a waste of money. just like Stanley cups.

Why do Labubus even exist?! My bus driver banned them cause he says they are creepy! And I’m glad he did.

Labubu dolls are popular because of their unique spooky-cute design, limited releases, and strong collector community. High craftsmanship, artist collaborations, and strong resale value also drive demand, making each drop highly sought after.

it's just a straight up weird doll but nothing too fancy or special otherwise.

Your Labubu collection is soooo impressive... for someone who still thinks 'blind boxes' is a financially sound life choice.

So you have a bunch of these furry little gremlins, huh? When do they start earning their keep?
View hidden comment
I think labubus are really cool, they give a good example of how much social media can influence our lives, they are a bit expensive but I love sewing little outfits for them
Voted: Yes

Social media can NOT influence our lives over some little doll. How can it influence our lives if you are buying these creepy dolls that are proven to be serial killers, I call that a crime🥀
View hidden comment
you are right, you have all my support I am on your side!!! u actually have common sense unlike others
View hidden comment
No I feel the exact same way! some people are just hating to seek attention and be different. what labubus do u have?
View hidden comment
The only reason 90% of people buy labubus is because they're trendy and popular, not because they think they're cool. maybe not you specifically but many people. In this world all it takes is for a small group of people to promote something dumb and then it goes "viral" and is "popular". Most of my gen (gen alpha) and the gen before (gen z) have the attention span of a 3 year old. Labubus will fade soon, just like fidget spinners and Stanley cups and every other brain rotted thing brought by my gen.

I agree, and honestly its just a waste of time and money to buy something that will be the butt of jokes by the time the next generation rolls around.
