When's the best time to send a first message on hinge?
Just got a match on Hinge and I'm extremely interested to message her. I don't want to blow it and come off as too eager chatting her up right away, but I don't want to lose her as a match before it's too late. Is there like, a scientifically proven time that I should make the first move?

Nah don't try to play games, I'd just message her back right away if that's what you want to do. I think it shows that you're interested in her. You'll only come across as desperate if you act desperate in your messages.

While I think there are "best" times to send Hinge messages, I don't let that stop me from messaging people when I want. I'm looking for a serious relationship, so filtering out people who would've only replied if I messaged them at a specific time is a plus for me! Same goes for making the first move. Even if there is a "scientifically proven" time to make a first move, I'd rather not abide by that. I'm going to make the first move when it feels right for me, and if that doesn't work for the woman I'm seeing, then we're probably not a good match.

I've found the most success sending messages on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. People are most likely to be available to respond to your messages during those times. If you message people in the middle of a weekday, they'll probably be busy. Friday and Saturday nights they're also probably busy out having fun.

I've always thought that it's better to send that first message in the evening, somewhere between 7 and 10 PM. During the day, I worry that my messages would get lost among all the other notifications a Hinge match is getting, and they may be out doing something and not be able to respond right away. Messaging at night usually means they're at home and on their phone, so they'll see the Hinge message right away and they'll be more likely to reply.
