To build a Roblox ARG, outline the plot and then work backward from the end. Most Roblox ARGs rely on a spooky twist, scary ending, or hilarious joke to punctuate the climax of the story, so figure out what you want that moment to be.

Most ARGs incorporate some kind of real-world element, so consider tying the in-game events to a story taking place outside of the game itself. It could turn out that your sibling is the BBEG (big bad evil guy) in the game, and the story ends with you finding out they were responsible for terrorizing you in-game. Alternatively, perhaps a clue in the game leads you to “discover” something IRL that freaks people out.

Once you know the general outline of your plot, begin constructing the levels. From there, it’s all about filming and/or setting up your game for other players (if it’s an open ARG). Roblox Webseries ARGs are not meant to be played by others, so you only need to construct whatever is necessary for your story, but true ARGs must be playable by others.
