I have been called a monster for years, just because I am/have these four things: the lycanthropy disability, a Therian, a Furry, and an Otherkin. Almost all of my friends have abandoned me because I admitted it.

I'm so sorry!!! I am a therian and a furry. Is the lyncanthropy disability when you think your physically an animal? pls explain more :3

Am I a Therian?
A few months ago, I found out what therians are. And I related to them in a way. When I was younger (from like 2nd to 4th grade), I would get called a furry because I would bark and run around on all fours and play pretend games where I was an animal during recess. And that was part of what made me question if I'm a therian. I have loved nature for as long as I can remember, and my mom has pictures of me climbing trees, and picking flowers, and rolling around in the dirt. Also, my best friend when I was younger recently told me he is a therian, and a lot of the time we would play animal games together and stuff. still want to do the things I did when I was younger, but I guess I realised that it wasn't normal to do that stuff and I hated the teaseing. I also think I migh be a demitherian bc I'm also at peace with my human identity, but Idk, tell me what you think pls!

How to explain the difference between Therian and Furry?
I'm just a therian, and when wearing gear or practicing quads, people make fun of me and call me a furry when I'm not. How do explain the difference? Help!

I’m an American-Muslim and Therian! Why do people hate me?
Well I used to do quadrobics when I was like 10 and some 8 year old boys tryed to push me. It was rude so I told my mother I’m a therian and she said that therian are haram but some people like therians and some people are not… Well that’s why I have over 10 therian masks. What do people assume about furries?
I have friends who are "furries" (sorry I'm using that term) and everyone thinks that anyone who hangs out with a "furry" is one. Everyone also assumes that all "furries" are dogs or cats. What are some things people always seem to assume about "furries" in your experience?
