Pinterest, like most apps with a search feature, saves your search queries to tailor search results for you. While this is a helpful feature, it can also slow down your device (or browser) over time. Fortunately, you can quickly clear your search history from within your account settings! This wikiHow will show you how to delete your Pinterest search history using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Removing Recent Pinterest Searches

To delete your Pinterest search history on the app, tap the person icon and tap your profile image. Tap Privacy and data, and then Clear app cache. To remove individual searches, select the search bar and then select the X next to a search.

- Tap the search bar. A list of recent searches will appear.
- Tap the X next to the search you want to delete.
  - Repeat this step for each search you want to remove. When the list is empty, you have fully deleted your search history.
  - If you have a lot of searches, you may need to exit the recent searches page and tap the search bar again to load more results.

Adjust your data personalization (optional). Use this step to opt out of targeted advertising, which can influence the recommendations and ads you see on Pinterest. This is a way to make Pinterest more private.

- Tap the three dots icon in the top-right corner.

- Toggle off all options underneath Data personalization.

- A pop-up menu will open with your recent searches.

- You can also delete a Pinterest board.
