  1. Go to https://mail.google.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser to delete labels in Gmail, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
    • You can't delete labels on the Android Gmail app or mobile browser; it must be done from a desktop browser.[1]
  2. You'll see a list of your labels on the left side of the page.
    • A drop-down menu will open.

  4. The label will be deleted.
    • Keep in mind that the emails won't be deleted, just the categorization.

    • You may need to scroll down to find it.
    • A new page will open with your primary account's settings. If you see the wrong account, return to the inbox. Tap the profile picture in the top-right corner and select the correct email address.
  4. You can find this underneath the Inbox header.

  6. You'll see them listed here.
  7. This is at the bottom of the page.
  8. The label will be deleted.
