Steps
-
Dial 1-866-952-4456 on your phone. This is the official phone number found on Netflix’s official help site for the United States. Dial the number from any phone or device to speak to a customer service representative from Netflix.[1]
-
Access the Call Us feature on the Netflix help site. If the number above doesn’t work in your region, look for the phone number listed on the Netflix site. Type in your issue in the text box at the top of the window and hit Enter. When the results appear, click on the Call Us option to connect with customer service.
- You do not have to be logged in to access the phone number.
-
Navigate to the Netflix contact page. The Contact page in the Netflix Help Center offers links to frequently asked questions so you can find fixes for the most common issues. You don’t need to be logged in to start a live chat, but signing in may help customer service resolve your issue faster.
-
Type your issue into the dialogue box. Click on the text box under Tell us what your issue is and write out why you’re reaching out to Netflix Support. Try to be as detailed as possible. Click Enter or the arrow on the right side of the box to submit your question.[2]
- A few FAQ pages will appear after your search, so check them first to see if they resolve your issue.
- You can type anything into the dialogue box to access the live chat option. Keep in mind that whatever you enter will send as the first message in your live chat.
-
Click the “Chat With Us” button to start the live chat. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the button. A pop-up chat window will appear in the bottom corner of your screen.
-
Click on Chat with an agent to connect with a customer service representative. A few links to FAQs will appear in the new chat window. If the pages don’t offer any help for your issue, click Chat with an agent to connect to a real person.[3]
- You’ll be able to send additional messages to help customer service understand the issue better.
-
Open Netflix and tap on your profile image in the bottom-right. Open the Netflix app from your phone or tablet and sign in to your account if you have one. Select your profile from the list. Then, look at the bottom menu bar and tap on your profile image in the corner to open the user page.[4]
- If you’re not signed in on the app or don’t have an account, click on Help in the top-right corner instead.
-
Open the hamburger menu in the top-right. Look for the 3 horizontal lines in the top-right corner of your screen. Tap on the menu to see more options to select from.
-
Select Help from the list to call or chat with customer service. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap on the Help option that has a question mark inside of a circle. At the bottom of the Help screen, choose one of the black buttons to either call a representative or start a text chat with Netflix customer service.[5]
- Selecting the Call option starts a phone call in the app, and requires a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection.
-
Selecting the Chat option opens your mobile browser to a live chat with a customer support agent. Tap on “Tell us what your issue is” and enter the problem.
- The Chat option also shows you the approximate wait time before you’re connected with an agent.
-
Send a request on the Netflix Media Center if you’re a member of the press. If you’re a journalist or reviewer who covers (or wants to cover) Netflix content, visit the Media Center help page and click on Contact Us near the bottom of the window. Fill out the form with your name, email address, media affiliation, phone number, request, and any additional information. When you’re finished, click Send to submit your request.[7]
-
Submit a ticket in the Partner Help Center. If you’re a professional partnered with Netflix and have questions or comments, click on Submit a Request at the bottom of the help center page. Sign in to your partner account if you haven’t already, and enter your request in the text box. Click on Send or Submit when you’re done to forward your request to Netflix.[8]
Community Q&A
-
QuestionPlease bring my favorite show back, which is Doctor Who.
Community AnswerYou can live chat with someone on Netlfix and ask them about it. If enough support comes from many people asking for the return of Doctor Who, they may be able to bring it back. Talking with Netflix is the best way for fans to support their show, as they record the demands from fans and watchers. -
QuestionHow can I recommend what shows I want to see?
Community AnswerYou used to be able to call in and suggest stuff, but Netflix does not do that any more. Instead, Netflix automatically records your searches. This way, they know what people want, and how many people want it. -
QuestionDo I need a phone land line in order for Netflix to work?
Community AnswerNo. You just need Wi-Fi or a data connection. If you use a data connection, be careful. It will use your allowance up pretty quickly unless you have unlimited.
