If you're using Teams on your work or school account, you likely won't be able to change it yourself. If you're using a personal Teams account, however, changing your name takes just a few clicks. Changing Your Name in Teams

If you have a work account, you can't change your Teams name. You'll need to contact the team admin to have your name changed. If you have a personal account, click your profile picture in the upper-right corner, hover your name, and click the pencil icon to change your display name.

  2. Note that you can only freely change the display name on your account if you have a personal account. If you're on a personal account, this menu will say "Personal" in the upper-left corner.
  3. This will open a dialog box.
  4. You must include a first name and a last name. Note that the changes will also be reflected in your Microsoft account, changing the name shown in your Outlook emails and other instances of your Microsoft account.

    Can I change my display name in one meeting? Yes, you can, if the meeting organizer has changed the meeting settings to allow participants to change their names. This will only change your name for this meeting; it won't change it in Teams overall.
