Here are some of the top icks that turn people off:
  • When they've got a dirty apartment
  • When they double-text (or worse, triple-text)
  • When they're overly negative and complain all the time
  • When they bite their nails
  • When they chew with their mouth open
  • When they neg you
  • When they talk over you
  • When they ask you for money, even though they barely know you (get real!)
  • When they check other people out in front of you
  • When they're rude to waitstaff

The major "ick" factor that makes a man undesirable to women is going out of his way to please or be a yes-man. Nobody really respects a yes-man because they're just going along with whatever you say in order to please you. It's not actually their opinion. Women want somebody who has some courage. And, typically, being a yes-man is also sort of opportunistic and manipulative, because these guys think that if they just do what a woman wants (or what they think she wants), then she's going to like them.

OK, I've been flirting with this guy for a month and we just had our first date and Idk what it is but I'm feeling the ick. Not totally sure why?? Nothing even went bad, things were good, he was sweet and took me to a nice restaurant, so why do I feel like I never want to look at him again lol. Is it possible to get over it??

Tell me your biggest dating red flags.
Okay wikiHow, don’t let me down. I took a few years off from dating after a frankly brutal series of short-lived relationships and I’ve decided to get back on the horse. I just finished making a Hinge profile and as I’m perusing it’s occurring to me that I’m not necessarily hip to the big red flags out there these days. In fact, half of the stuff I see in the average bio doesn’t even make sense to me. I feel so out of touch. Anyway, what are the really big red flags I should keep an eye out for?

What does "negging" mean? Examples?
I've been chatting with this guy for a little bit, but my friends have told me that he's totally been "negging" me when we're together. I haven't heard this term before, but there must be some truth to it if my friends keep saying it's happening. So, what exactly is negging and how can I recognize it? It seems like a bad thing, so any pointers on how to stop it from happening are a plus.

Why am I still single?
I'm in my late 20s and have never been in a serious relationship. I'm just tired and frustrated. I don't know where to meet people and I'm not good at talking to new people. Should I just give up even trying?
