Here are some of my best tips to get rid of dust mites in your home:
  • Damp-mop hard floors (tile or hardwood, for example) once a day.
  • Dust and vacuum once or twice a week to remove the buildup of allergens.
  • Use a dry cloth to wipe hard surfaces such as countertops, tables, and other furniture.
  • Vacuum the carpets and cloth-covered furniture to get rid of as much dust as you can. Use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter or a special double-thickness bag, which collects dust-mite particles and pollen. Standard paper bag filters may allow the stirred-up allergens to escape back into the room.
  • Consider steam cleaning your carpets when possible. In addition to cleaning the carpet, the heat of the steam kills dust mites.
  • Safety tip: Dusting and vacuuming stirs up dust, making the air quality worse until the dust settles. Wear a mask if you do the cleaning yourself, and if possible, try to have someone without allergies do the cleaning.

Please help me find a way to get rid of bed bugs as fast as possible
I am losing my mind. I've had bedbugs in my house for a week and nothing seems to be getting rid of them. How do I kill them? Do I just need to bite the bullet and call an exterminator? Do I need to move???? I'm pulling my hair out as we speak. Help, please!

How to check for potential bed bug infestation in my house?
I truly, deeply hate to say it...but I'm afriad that I have bed bugs. I haven't found a beg bug YET, but I've been waking up itchy all week. I'm concerned there could be an infestation because I've heard if there's one there's usually many. How do I check for bed bugs? More importantly, what do I do?? Thank you so much!

How do I get rid of fleas for good?
I'm mortified to be here asking this but I'm desperate at this point: I have fleas in my house and I dont' know how to get rid of them. They seem to really like my dog (mostly indoor dog but we use flea and tick meds) and the couch. I wouldn't say it's an infestation just yet, but it's been like this for months and nothing I do is keeping them away! What should I do/what am I doing wrong?
