Saitama from One Punch Man says he got his superhuman strength by following a strict daily training routine for a year and a half. According to Chapter 11 of the manga series (or episode 3 of the anime), Saitama’s exercises each day included:
  • 100 push-ups
  • 100 sit-ups
  • 100 squats
  • 10 km (6.2 mi) run
While Saitama thinks that his workouts are the only reason why he has his powers, Dr. Genus in Chapter 89 of the manga believes he removed his “limiter,” or a natural limit on how strong someone can get. In Chapter 94, Psykos found that pushing someone close to death multiple times can also break someone’s limiter, but this hasn’t happened to Saitama. He seems to have done it just by putting in a lot of effort, and he continues to grow exponentially stronger.
