Big question from a 16 year old wanting to go to college
IF I AM GENUINELY BROKE AND MY GPA IS SO FRIGGIN AVERAGE, SHOULD I EVEN TRY TO PURSUE A DREAM CAREER THAT WILL BE HARD TO ACHIEVE, OR SHOULD I GIVE UP ON IT AND GO AFTER A NORMAL JOB SOMEONE OF MY FINANCIAL SITUATION WOULD DO JUST TO SURVIVE. I really don't want to survive, I want to live. (Yes I am selfish, but what can I do? ;P)

Greetings from a fellow 16-year-old in the same situation. If you're 16, my guess is that you're a junior or a sophomore in high school. That means you still have one to two more years left, so for starters, here's the basic advice of LOCK IN DUDE!!! Study hard. But, more importantly than that, learn to study efficiently. As for the financial part, try to get a job or two. It'll be a challenge, but if you can learn time management, it's doable. Put aside most of the money you get for college, so you have at least a little. For college, try to go to a junior college that feeds into another college. That way, later on, you can go to a better college, but start cheaply. You can also start a volunteer drive, business, or organization to help stand out. What's something you really care about? How are your SAT and ACT scores (if you've taken them)? Do you do any extracurriculars or academics (UIL)? What do you want to become? Good luck, Homie!!! ✌️
