More About Stray Kids and BTS

BTS
Debuted in 2013, BTS is the best-selling musical act in South Korean history! Their name stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, translating to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”; as of 2017, it also stands for “Beyond the Scene.”[1] Although originally a hip hop group, BTS has vastly expanded their style and the types of music they make over the years, and the group is fiercely beloved worldwide.

The members of BTS are:

  • RM - Leader and main rapper
  • Jin - Vocalist and visual
  • Suga - Lead rapper
  • J-Hope - Main dancer, rapper, and sub vocalist
  • Jimin - Main dancer and lead vocalist
  • V - Lead dancer, vocalist, visual
  • Jungkook - Main vocalist, lead dancer, sub rapper, and maknae

Stray Kids
Stray Kids debuted in 2018, following the filming of the 2017 reality show Stray Kids, which followed the 9 (at the time, now 8) members of the group as they worked on writing original music and making their debut together. Even though agencies normally select the members of a group, members of Stray Kids were personally selected by its leader, Bang Chan, instead.[2] Stray Kids is known for self-producing its music as well, with its own internal production team made up of three members (Bangchan, Changbin, and Han).

The members of Stray Kids are:

  • Bang Chan - Leader, producer, vocalist, rapper, dancer
  • Lee Know - Dancer, vocalist, rapper
  • Changbin - Rapper, producer
  • Hyunjin - Dancer, rapper
  • Han - Rapper, producer, vocalist
  • Felix - Dancer, rapper
  • Seungmin - Vocalist
  • I.N - Vocalist


Additionally, the band had a ninth member—Woojin—who left the group in 2019 and is now a solo artist.
