Best movies to distract from a recent breakup?
If you really want to watch something that takes you away from the world, then do a back-to-back viewing of the Dune movies. They are big, they're sprawling, they're entertaining, they take place on a different planet. Watch those and let yourself just be absorbed in the world of Dune.
What are some must-watch queer movies?
I have a couple of brilliant films that come to mind in this genre. Deepak Rauniyar is a Nepali filmmaker who made a film called Pooja, Sir about two years ago. It did the rounds of international film festivals and was doing so until last year. Then there is Indian filmmaker Rohan Khavade's film, Cactus Pears. Cactus Pears won the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at Sundance in 2025. One of my friends, Sudhanshu Saria, who's also a filmmaker, made this film called Loev years and years ago, which I’d also recommend.
