How do I get rid of these silverfish? So gross
Silverfish are common in areas of your home with high humidity and little airflow. To get rid of silverfish, start by removing cardboard boxes and old newspapers to eliminate their potential food sources. Physically removing silverfish with a vacuum is an effective way to get rid of them that doesn’t require insecticides. If these methods don’t get rid of silverfish, you can use insecticide sprays or dust applied per label guidelines behind drawers, under furniture, along baseboards, and on exterior foundations and eaves.

Since silverfish are attracted to areas of high humidity, using a product like DampRid will absorb moisture and help reduce the humidity indoors attracting silverfish. Also, use plastic or metal storage bins in your garage and attic instead of cardboard boxes to eliminate potential food sources. An effective product for silverfish prevention is Dekko Silverfish Paks which contains boric acid as the active ingredient.
